Simplifying virtual event management by designing an intuitive tool that empowers hosts to create, manage, and promote their events effortlessly.

I designed the back-office interface for Meltingspot, where users create and manage events.
The design process involved creating wireframes, leading initial prototyping iterations, and developing a design system.

    Focusing on host needs: Designing an experience focused on the event creator and host, understanding their unique goals.

    Simplifying complexity: Making the process of creating a custom virtual event feel simple and intuitive.

    Building for teams & scalability: Designing a role management, permissions, and account flows that allow companies to collaborate on events, not just individuals.

    Providing actionable insights: Leveraging the attendee database to give hosts the key data points they need to measure event success and track engagement

    Enabling Brand Ownership: Creating a system that gave organizations the tools to inject their own brand identity.

  • The approach

    Together with the Product Owner, we employed a user-centered design process.

    Flow mapping & architecture: We began by defining and mapping the core user journeys, structuring them into distinct functional areas: Account creation, Team management, Event creation…

    Wireframing & prototyping: We transformed these flows into low-fidelity wireframes to validate the structure and functionality.

    Onboarding & first-time experience: A key focus was designing an intuitive and guided first-time user experience. This streamlined the initial setup process, from account creation to building a team and hosting a first event, reducing friction and accelerating time-to-value.
